That must be how they're planning to get more money in the state budget

In Illinois, 105 in a 65 will get you a court date, and a minimium $105 dollar fine. (the fine is actually $1050, but we are a 10% state), at 106mph, you are going to jail, unless I'm in a good mood.

If I saw the Charger racing with you, both of you would be in jail, cars impounded and possibly seized. Illinois frowns on street racing. You would also possibly be convicted of a Class C misdemeanor and your license revoked.

In all seriousness, you would get at least the 105mph in a 65mph. I won't write for less then I actually got you at. You take that to court, tell the judge I got you higher then I wrote you for, and my integrity is now in question. You will probably get the bigger ticket, maybe not, but I look bad.

Anyway, for a cop to drop the ticket 30mph, the OP is definitely blessed!!

That's hauling. In MN anything over 100 and you get your license revoked. Lucky. Go buy a powerball ticket.

You have to look at it from the officers point of view. Do they want you to enjoy your car, yes. I'd say most officers are not going to be harsh because of the car alone. The car seems quite fun! That is not in quesiton, but the police officers are here to tame us and keep us living to enjoy the car again. The last thing any of us would want is to have our car looking like one of the many you can find in the "wrecked" or "crashed" camaro's threads, not to mention the possibility of hurting us or anyone else. Bottom line, if you want to go 100+, take it to a track!
