Good luck working with your body shop and insurance company. I would be very surprised if that is a total loss. It has to be some wicked hail to total a car. Windows, interior, and dents so severe that paintless dent removal can't be used at all. Just not seeing that. Never know tho, maybe it works out that way in your favor.

Damn Darkness and I thought I was having a bad day. On my way home someone kicked up about a 3 inch rock or something which hit my windshield and roof top center so hard it powdered the windshield and actually dented the roof enough to push the roof backward and then left another dent. I found a dent in the hood too which is very small but I have to assume something hit there as well. I am sick about mine, I can't imagine how you feel about yours. I really feel for you and wish you the best of luck in getting it repaired right. Hail on the roof can be really tough to repair. Keep us all imformed of your progress. Oh and since it is black, push for them to replace the panels instead of paintless repair.

And what panels on these things are aluminum? I know it rock chips like crazy and it doesn't take much of a rock to ding the heck out of the side.

I'm surprised I didn't hear you crying in the background! My b/f nearly was when we were visiting Indiana in April and it hailed on his Charger (luckily no damage tho) I'm sorry :( I'm sure ins will pay for it and you will have no problems, still sux tho.

On a side note tho, this is a good reminder to me as to why I pay extra for a carport at my apt complex.

WOW!!!

I always wanted to live in Tornado alley (it's been a dream of mine to see a tornado in person, from a safe distance of course) But I would never want to be in a hailstorm that bad! I feel sorry for anyone who got caught out in that.

OP, that sucks that happened to you! I just detailed a 2011 Malibu that was fixed up from hail damage Today. They are fixable! Just get a good body shop to work on it, whoever done this one left compound everywhere that was almost impossible to get off, it was even in-bedded into the seats.

At least you didnt get caught driving in it!

My last vehicle before my 5th gen was a 08 jeep. I was cruising along on the highway at night (no rain), and all of a sudden......hail.....at 70 mph. The sound was horrendous. Obviously I stopped immediately, but even still there was very little damage since the bumper was plate steel, the grille was plastic, and the top was cloth. Just a cracked windshield.

Very sorry to see this, I'm sure you were dying inside watching and knowing there was nothing you could do!

Post some pictures of the damage so we can better evaluate what you might be in for
