2ND delay in TPW... NOT GOOD

My original TPW was March 23 and without any reason given it was "pushed back" to May 4Th. (5 weeks )

After reading many threads on CAMARO5 it became obvious they had a problem with the drive line and trannies on the V6 6 speed manuals.:(

Dealer has been advised my TPW is now moved back 2 more weeks to May 18 ( and that is a Stat Hol ) so they will only work 4 days that week.

Bummer .....we thought we would have this car by mid April. Now looks like mid June.

Well then you missed the threads about replacement 2nd gear syncs , pressure plates, clutches and drive shafts. Reports were they were waiting for "update spec " parts from the supplier.

The VIN thread only shows ONE V6 /6 speed manual built (# 117 ) and it is on hold.

Just because you haven't read it does not mean was not written.

Well hopefully it will not be too much longer... I went to 3000 4/21/09. Possible TPW of 4/27/09 or 5/04/09 or so I was told, but I am sure it will be later than that.

That is not hot air............

My order was possibly the 1st V6 pulled and given a TPW on CAMARO5 (some posts said no way at the time ) before many on here knew what those letters meant.

The Zone Office pulled my order in Feb for March 23 TPW.

I spend too much time on here doing my own reading ... You can do your own!

It's an Adventure

Ordered 2LT/RS, IBM, Manual on 26 Dec
Order was pulled 17 Mar and went to 3000 w/TPW 18 Apr
Was told wednesday I'm still at 3000, GM refuses to admit issue w/V6 and my "VERY" tentative TPW is now 18 May

Guess we are the lucky ones who ordered the only version of this car that GM can't get right!

Bottom line is I hope they do get it right in time to make me very

Hey Bull, we have the same scenario. I ordered Oct 16th. But i was picked up march 19th, went to 3000, Had a TPW of April 20th, then May4th, now May 18th.
Well we know its an issue with the manual trans. Im just hoping we dont get pushed back again.

Tell me about it. I live in OK but ordered from a dealership in my home (MI) state since I would be the #1 order, they weren't charging $5K over MSRP like the dealers in OK were, and I'm scheduled to deploy to the middle east during the summer. I was originally was told late Apr or mid-May delivery now I'm just hoping I get the car in time to be able to drive it before I leave. At least I was told if I cancelled my order due to me leaving I would get my deposit back. I have to say the dealership I'm dealing with has been very cooperative and extremely patient listening to me rant but they are shackeled by the information that the regional manager is telling him.

I'm sure in the end everything will work out.
