Anybody know anything about the Boston Acustics Audio?
Does anybody know if the audio system that they are putting in the 2SS is any good?

its great! not like, "OMG, I'm going to enter an IASCA competition with it!" good, but its better than the Monsoon was in the 4th gens.

after hearing it a couple of times out of cars, it sounds very nice. I probably won't be getting it in my camaro, but I would suggest it to anybody who is thinking about it.

do u know if it comes with a subwoofer. And is the pioneer system that comes in the cobalt better or worse because i know that has a subwoofer

Get the BA. It'll be worth it.
Only comes w/ subs if you order them. There should be preamp outputs in the back, but will not be sure for a while on that one. |

doesnt 254 watts seem like pretty frikin low output for 8 speakers and a sub? My two speaker sony stereo puts out 300.

Yeah im running 6000 in my blazer haha 254 is low i hope its per speaker or something haha.

A few years ago GM probably would have called this a ~750W system, but they are using RMS numbers which while not perfect are a much better comparison system. 254W RMS is pretty good for a stock sytem and unless BA drops the ball most people should be quite happy with it.

I still haven't figured out where 9 speakers are located.
1 in each door (and I'm assuming each side in the rear as always) = 4 1 Center Channel in the front dash = 5 2 Tweeters in each A Pillar = 7 Plus a subwoofer = 8 So where is the 9th speaker??? |
