Camaro probelems
Wow I can not believe I was so excited to get my camaro and then when it was time to get it problem after problem.
Has anyone experienced this. Today I was driving my new camaro 2SS with 575 miles on her. I took off from a stop and tons of smoke came pouring out my exhaust. I pullled over right away to inspect and the smoke kept coming for awhile. All guages read goood and on star ran a positive test as well. Again I let it sit for 2 hours and the same thing occured then stopped after a few miles. CAN ANYONE HELP HERE!!! I SENT A MAY DAY TO MY DEALER! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO F BUMMED |

there is a GM bulletin about excessive smoke and oil consumption. It is not just the Camaros. Dealers are aware of it.

besides, a little smoke on a new car is normal! dont worry about it. go drive your car and have fun...if you're afraid of the engine blowing on you or something, which is not likely, then stay under warranty. you just got a new car dont be bummed over smoke..it will stop

If it's really bad then have the dealer look at it.

Yes it is unfortunate that you have any issue with your new Camaro. Take it to you dealer. But why do you make your post sound like there are 20 things wrong with your car?

Take it to the dealer then. Do you really expect us to be able to tell you to pop the hood, tighten bolt A and pull fuse 36 and that will fix it?

Not trying to make it a bigger deal than it needs to be. When you pay 45,000 for a car it should make it past 600 miles. This is not the first issue, but the most major and most recent. I am a huge/loyal camaro fan. I just want to know if there are simular issues out there among us camaro faithful. And belive me I will be going to the dealer asap tomorrow.

Don't want to depress you but taking your car to the dealer on a saturday for diagnostic service?? Around here at least the regular techs are off on the weekend and the 'grease monkey crew' are on on saturdays. they can change oil and replace a tire any maybe a brake job but when it comes to diagnosing a squeek, smoke, check engine light, trans problems.... not gonna happen. Probably have you bring it back in monday...

These cars don't cost 45k please stop saying that. If you added ground effects and rims that's not part of the performance or the msrp those are Addons that you simply chose for cosmetic reasons. Mine was under 38k for a 2ss/rs with sunroof out the door amd has 1800 miles and going strong.
