Question Suspension Questions: ZL1 vs. 1LE Sway Bars

in the process of doing a suspension overhaul. I am getting drop springs. I am getting new rims (keeping stock pirelli's) and getting sway bars. From my understanding for rims (with stock tires) it is better to go with 20x9 all around (square setup) opposed to staggered 20x9 front 20x10 rear... so in the future once these tires wear out I will also continue with the square tire setup like the 1LE has...That being said I want to buy either the 1LE or ZL1 sways. Heard 1LE is better for square but ZL1 is better for Staggered. Since I would be staggered for now until tires wear out, what would you do if you were in my position... I do not drag race, just aggressive street driving. Thanks.

I'd go with 20x10 all around instead. The 1LE or ZL1 sway bars will make your 9" rears really loose. Remember that both the 1LE and ZL1 both have 10" rears.

Disagree I love our ZL1 sways with our 20x9 275's all around set up the car is very neutral when pushing it hard into the corners and just has a "slight" bit of on throttle oversteer from the apex out. Car sticks amazingly well threw the slalom best set up so far but we are running a bit of camber front and rear also

yeah I bet those pfadt's are great, wanted the zl1 or 1le bars because they are significantly cheaper and I don't use the track, so either one of the zl1 or 1le bars would be fine for me, just trying to figure out which one

Not sure what the price is on the ZL1 or 1LE Sways but PFADT also has their Sport Sway bars at a good price!

ZL1 and 1LE have the same part number rear sway bar, and the 1LE front sway bar is only 1mm larger than the ZL1 front sway bar so really there is just a very small difference, we bought our zl1 sways long before the 1LE was even heard of but if I were you I would go 1LE for the 1mm larger front sway

That's the set up I'm working towards. Staying with the stock staggered wheels for now. ZL1 rear sway and the 1LE front bar. Both are OE stock with stock links. Right now I'm waiting on the front links. They have been on back order. Rear sway is on. Not planning on tracking it. Just get a little better plant in the corners.

For now.

Youll need to hit a few local autocrosses to make sure all that hard earned money is working correctly in the corners

These rims at 22.8lbs, Pfadt ZL-1 sways and radius rod bushing mod would put your in good standing. Stock 20x9s are still heavy is heck 37lbs vs 22.8 lbs do the math. Lighter wheels will make your steering quicker and make the car feel more nimble also quicker with reduced rotational mass.

That is false,

Wheels 20x10 Black ( ZL1-1LE ) - 22798741
Wheels 20x11 Black ( ZL1-1LE ) - 22798743

Just trying to help out.
