Sunroof??

Please forgive me if this has been covered. I have searched and am unable to find it.
On the preproduction car it looks to me that it has a sunroof. It may be a reflection or shadow or something else. But to me it looks like a sunroof. Any comments??

We came to the conclusion that it is a sunroof, but that is only a preproduction model. Nothing is set in stone until GM tells us, and that includes whether the Camaro gets a sunroof.

Cool. I really don't care either way. Was just wondering. And maybe it could be a way that GM is letting us know of options that will be available?? I won't have a sunroof either way....ttops yes...if not the hard top will do

If anything, I'm betting Chevrolet will offer a sunroof on the Camaro. I highly doubt t-tops will be an option. I feel t-tops would take away from the looks.

Also, (I may be mistaken) but it seems to me, most new cars offer sunroofs, as opposed to t-tops. Maybe because it cost's less for them, and is more practical?

Who knows... I'll be going with a coupe, sans sunroof.

It would seem likely that they would offer it, since they engineered it into the prototype; it's not like it's only a headlamp or taillamp. I agree that T-tops would take away from the looks, and probably the structural integrity of the car. My car felt WAY better after adding subframe connectors to it, so I think T-tops are going bye-bye. I'd like a sunroof, if I can keep the coupe reverse mohawk, if I can't, I might pass as well.

The third gen's were not structrually sound with t-tops either, my 84 t/a with a 383 stroker twisted the car so bad my t-tops never fit in correctly again, but they made them. you never know.

It was shown on the prototype. The Challenger offers a sunroof. The Mustang will soon be offered with an all-glass roof. I think it is safe to say the Camaro will get some sort of glass panel on the roof as an option. I'll order a sunroof.

It appears to be pretty visible on the "spy shots"! If they do offer it, I would get it.

The glass roof is currently available. I saw one at the local Ford dealer a few weeks ago.

Has no one noticed the reverse mohawk is gone on the latest pics?

^Of the two released it's really hard to tell on the one without a sunroof because of the white clouds behind it, so it might still be there. I hope it is.

Structural rigidity is only half the reason T-Tops will never be made again. The main reason is curtain airbags and rollover protection. GM wants this car to attain 5 star safety ratings, and T-tops would give it 0 stars.
