Using iPhone's Siri over Bluetooth?

Hello, I recently hooked up my iPhone 5 to my 2010 Camaro 2LT and was slightly disappointed with the voice control implementation. I have to hit the onstar voice control button, then say bluetooth, then voice, and then it activates siri. This takes at least 15s longer than just being able to hit the button! I saw in the commercial for the new Cruze which has identical steering wheel controls, it was possible to just hit the button and it activates siri. Is there any way to shortcut the button so it goes right to phone voice control? Maybe in a software update or something? My car is most likely still running the same software 2010s shipped with.
Thanks for any info!
