NASCAR Road Trip to Richmond w/Car Corral
I spotted this under the car show section and decided that I would head down to it. Always better to road trip it with someone else so I thought I would post it here to see if anyone else was interested. No plans at this point to go down for the Nationwide race Friday night so we would be heading out Friday morning and returning home Sunday night. Car corral will have security and apparently is located near the vendor trailers. About a ten hour drive for me from Kingston.

Sounds like a good time. Unfortunately for me, being on the west coast the nearest track for me is Sonoma California. (Infineon Raceway)
Would love to go to some tracks on the east. Went to Sonoma in 2011 with the camaro. Had a great time! Have fun, wish I could go! |

Thinking this over. Richmond is a fast short track with lots of action and the tailgating is epic. Last time I was there a woman fell asleep in her lawnchair at 8:00 in the morning and pissed herself, another woman sat on the edge of her running boards to pee and the guy behind us set up a full kitchen and was cooking for whoever wanted to eat his cooking. I asked him where he was sitting for the race, " I don't watch the race, I'm just here to party." If you go to the McDonalds across the street don't buy any of the watches kids are selling for $10. They'll tell you it just needs a battery, they don't tell you it needs the guts too.

I've been to Bristol and Vegas. Richmond is definitely one of the best races of the year and it is a night race to boot. Keep me posted if you're interested. They said they were going to have a 100 car corral for these packages and they were around 80.

I'm interested Lucky! Just have to double check my work schedule.
I've been going to MIS for over 20 years, and have been to Bristol, 'Dega and Charlotte. So...the way I read this is that there's only 20 spots left? What about rooms on Friday and Saturday night? |

You have to do something while waiting for the race to start.

Found out at work today...that weekend doesn't work for me.
Too bad, I'd like to do that trip. |
