Was the Z28 smoother in general, less unstable throughout, or was it just a difference in the cameras used that gave this appearance.

My guess is cameras used / way it was mounted. The Z/28 video was in 1080p, but the ZL1 video I could only find in 360p. Could be different camera's. Not sure though. Some of it may have to do with the suspension, I have no idea though.

It seems the Z/28 was up ~10-12 seconds and then either the rain / ZL1 power and lower downforce on the straight reduced the gap. Impressive. The final lap time isn't the whole story here.

When I saw the rain, I thought "oh no!!" Did you notice the at the right wiper was lifting and not clearing the rain? Fortunately, the driver's side wiper worked properly.

Pretty freakin' scary that a nearly 4000 lb car momentarily loses contact with the pavement in a couple of spots. Great driving demo, by the way. I guess that's why they make the big bucks

Let me start by saying both are great cars....the Z28 sounds wicked. Hardly a scientific experiment though, and saying one is faster than the other based on this time is not valid. Too many elements that aren't controlled for. Not hating at all...I like and respect all kinds of cars...even Fords!

To try and show some perspective the Z/28 beats the ZL1 in the corners and acceleration. ZL1 does have the top speed. Proof is in the pictures.

Time for a cam and real headers for the Z28 then watch that number come down even more. And no dam rain. Way to go team Camaro

SWEET video!!!

I'd like to see what those tires would do on ZL1. I wonder how many laps the brakes, cooling, and shocks would hold up though. I know it would be at least one GREAT run. It sounds like Z/28 can do this all day though. It's interesting to see the changes in difference in time and where each car has it's advantage. It reminded me of watching GT500 and ZL1 comparisons.

Yeah I agree. I would love to see the ZL1 with the Z/28 wheel & tire combo and see what it would do.

I kinda think Adam Dean pushed the car more to it's limits than Aaron Link. Aaron seemed a little conservative. Either way, that Z/28 is friggin fast. Well done, Chevrolet!
