Want to see what an F-250 will do to a Camaro?
 I'd JUST GOTTEN HER BACK from getting re-painted (I'm sure you all saw my thread about that). I'm so upset. My car is like my kid. FML The way my parents' driveway is set up, I parked behind my dad and at an angle. He got in his F-250 this morning and apparently didn't look in the passenger mirror to see my car back there. I came in late last night and he was in bed already so he didn't know I was there. It was dark. He put his truck in reverse, and.... :(  :(The window shattered. I drove it down to the nearest dealership and walked in covered in blood and in tears. I bet I scared the hell out of them. They have her now, assessing the damage... He will be paying for it himself so as not to file it on his company truck's insurance (he is in the Oilfield) and this way at least it won't go on CARFAX....

WOW, I hope the damage stayed contained to just the door and window. It should be an easy fix for the dealer if it is. But damn that really sucks. Dont me mad at Dad though. Accidents happen and at least it was minor and no injurys.

It is strictly contained to the door and window, no sill/frame damage thank God.
And I'm driving my Mom's BMW 3-series hard top convertible for now, though I will have to rent a car. I don't know if he will want to pay for that. The only good thing is, the dealer is going to purchase, paint and install pretty interior door & dash panels from GM for me and just add it to the estimate.

Covered in blood? I'm not sure I understand what happened.
I know he backed into the car because he didn't realize it was there, but were you in the car when he backed into it? He hit the side door enough to shatter the glass but just what part of the car hit you and where were you hurt (assuming you were inside)? |
