Lets hope they keep the trend going and produce almost 9,000 this month! Unlikely but let's dream.

It's funny that over half the cars built haven't been delivered. That says something....

Where are you getting that info from?

I would have thought that the pre-orders would have taken priority over any thing else. If thats the case then who got cars that were NOT pre-ordered and why?
There's been literally hundreds or thousands of posts on this topic. Basically no, pre-orders do not have priority over regular orders. In addition to the one per dealer cars, not all dealers participated in the preordering and even those that did could still have put in non-preorders ahead of their preorders to make some extra cash.

I don't think pre-orders are getting priority.

Yeah look at how many of those were v6 dealer show cars that doesnt count as r6p status. Mine was the first preorder at the dealership, my tpw was 2 weeks ago and the #2 guys was a week b4 mine now according to the dealer my car, his car, and the dealer v6 are all on the same truck coming here. im vin 12397, he is like 10,000 something and the dealer car is even less than that.

My math: 3600 chevrolet dealers times two cars = 7200, 15,000+ pre-orders = 22200 cars, 500 CTF = 22700, so we are 2/3 of the way there. 400 cars a day by 22 days in June = 8800, so all preorders plus dealer cars done by end of June, Delivery??????????

GM allocates a certain amount of vehicles to each dealership based on their volume of sales. GM is obviously trying to lure in new customers for this Camaro. As a result there are thousands of stock allocation orders being produced before preorders. GM also sent a whole fleet to Avis rental car agency to try and lure in more buyers. If I could test drive a car at Avis and not the dealership then I can understand why they are doing this. It's all marketing when it comes down to it. Mine was built (3800) on 5-30-09 and I expect it in my driveway within 10 days. The waiting is killing me !
