"Best of the Fest" Award for top Vendor?

Not sure if this idea was mentioned in any other threads, but I wanted to shed light on a possible type of award for vendors for future Fests.

The main reason I would love for this award to be created is due to Steve, Ashley, and everyone else at HPE. They literally worked non stop to make all of their customers happy from the beginning to the end of the fest. They set up their booth on Thursday when the track wasn't even open, doing installs all day, and even did some installs in the parking lot of the hotel. Even when I couldn't get my vents installed on Thursday, they told me to come back bright and early the next morning and knocked mine out first, which gives any customer a sense that they are valued.

I also wanted to see this award created because there were other vendors (who I will not name) who didn't even bring products to sell, or made excuses why they didn't bring certain products for fear that the install times would "Take too long".

Moderators, is there any way we can see this award come to fruition?

Maybe they could give pass out numbered ballots with your entrance ticket and you turn the ballot in by Saturday noon so they can count them up?

Hey Chris I was the guy that was at the booth in the morning as well. It was great to meet you. I also agree with everything you said, Steve and Ashley were great along with the Adams Polish folks and Ted Janetty was also very cool too! Additionally, I want to give props to Chevy. I have a story to post about them that I'll take care of later.

Yup, you're right this time lol.

Anyways,

I want to also mention the guys at Show Time Detailing. I had them do a full Clay/2 Step Polish/ and Wax and my car has never looked better. Good guys, and they did very good work!

That sounds like a great idea honestly. A system where whenever you purchase a product from a vendor, you get a colored ticket or item, and at the end of the fest, you turn in your ticket to the Moderators and they tally them up to find out who not only had the most business, but the best customer service.

Are you serious? I didn't even know they were doing details out there. How much did that cost?

I'd nominate Shinetime, Adams, and MPD based on who I spoke to. Unfortunately, not every vendor upheld the high level of customer service and quality products that these guys did.

Chris, Show Time charged me $300. It may sound like a lot but their attention to detail was great. They removed every bug and I couldn't find any missed spots. I had bad swirling and that's all gone now as well. I'm very happy.

Steve @ HPE is truly a 1st class act. Even though I had bought his vents and done my own install months before the Fest, I wanted to stop by his area to let him know what I great product I think he puts out. He was busy in his trailer in the middle of an install and but still took the time to chat a bit. He was very informative and friendly and is a great ambassador for his company. Top notch in every respect.

This is a great idea, I took my time to fill out my vendor card. I tried to chat with all and not just get it signed. I think my wallet doubled in size from all the business cards that I got. Funny since I lightened it up with a lot of money spent!! Maybe have a bowl where everyone gets one vote and go from there. Most vendors that I talked to said traffic and sales were down, but quality if the talk on future business was way up and very encouraging.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm, lol.

I will be respectful about AAC, but they are also one of the reasons why I made this thread :

THIS IS NOT BASHING.

They approached me the first night about purchasing some of my products and getting them installed at the fest, at which I told them I had almost all of their products on my car. Then I decided "Hey, I really want some afterburners, let me ask them about the 2.0's", and when I asked them, they told me they weren't doing 2.0 afterburner installs, due to "time constraints". Then I asked if they even brought them to the fest, so people could buy them, and they said no. That's when I lost respect, and the conversation ended.

It's one thing to not be able to do an install due to lack of tools or space for labor, it's another to not even bring a fairly new product to the Fest, and then make an excuse as to why you wouldn't be doing installs. Hell, HPE was doing installs at NIGHT in the PARKING LOT.

Either way, "Customer appreciation" doesn't lie, and eventually great service, or not so great service will catch up to some people.

Thank you guys for the kind words! We bust our humps to answer EVERY question that is asked when we are out at a show, even when the booth is overflowing with people!

If you have an issue on your car, our normal resposne is "bring it to the booth!" I'd estimate we had no less than 15 cars roll through the booth to inspect issues or problems or to demo products on.
