Aftermarket Concept Side Mirrors.
Thought I'd be bold and put this out there.
Here's the Final version of the Side mirrors. Nice and neat. I love the final version of the car all together. But like some of us we want to get to "as close concept" look to our car. I'm wondering, there is such a contrast between the two, can there be a functional way of making aftermarket concept looking side mirrors for the production Camaro. I figure you can get some convex mirrors to make up for the lack of size to account for blind spots anyway. As far as getting the to fit in the spot of the factory mirrors and get them heated and electronic (which to my knowledge, the mirrors are just heated). Is there a way? Who will make them? Can the be made? A couple of pictures for reference.

I would love this on my car as well. I will say this though, once you get it on it will probably be very dangerous. Those things are tiny and visibility as it is is already scarce to say the least.
Having said that, yes, I will take 2... Last edited by kdoske; 05-26-2009 at 03:35 PM. |

nope no can do... you cant see a goddam thing out of the rear windshield as is, and turnin ur head would be a hazzard if you did it constantly not that it will help cuz there is still barely any visibility in doing that either... i need those factory side view mirrors

If enough of us were willing to part with the money it can be done, also with the use of cameras (that is the future anyway) the mirror only needs to have about 2 inches of surface. I am now building a one off set for my 47 Fiat topolino with help from friends in Japan. I will let you know the outcome when finished.

The only problem I got is that what if I get my Camaro and then I get the custom paint job before I get these mirrors. I have not finalized it yet but I'm getting a quote for the a similar bumblebee paint job for about $1200. Is there a thread for that? BB paint job anyone?

I take it this will not be a tear down. . . i.e. engine compartment, under hood, under trunk, inside trunk, door james, door panels taking off. etc.. the actuall paint for the BB Car in transformers was 75k. . . It is a 5 layer job.
