I agree with you guys. I called my dealer today and what it sounds like is that he's the one getting the run around from the manager. He has been telling me what he's been told... that the order got placed and the manager was so enthused about it that he ordered a 2nd one based on my specs for the dealership... that the order was placed 2 weeks ago when they were given the allocation... but that the manager didn't have an order number to give to him... sooooo

When I talked to him this morning I told him that it sounded like his manager was giving him a lot of BS and that he needed to get the order number from him since it should have been immediate. I said I'd give him til this afternoon to get the order number, or I'd be going to someone else - and that someone else will OF COURSE be Becky who I spoke with today. She's fantastic!

And your dealer does not need allocation

Starting July 26th, unallocated sold orders for
Camaro coupe and convertible will be processed
by GM - that means no more waiting for the
dealers to place them
This means once your dealer orders your car, GM will pick up
the order and process it. It may not get picked
up the same day, but should within a couple of
days of the order, unless the order has unbuildable
options or holds.

Yah, there have been no holds on the CTH for the past few weeks it seems. The manager told my dealer that the order was picked up by GM... but then WHY THE F*** won't he produce the order number!?!!?

At this point I'm pretty over it and gave him until 5pm today to produce the order number or I'm going straight to Becky. I'll probably get my car faster that way than if I wait for these guys to get their act together anyway!

Well it appears the dealer who ordered mine are advertising it. I noticed you live in the LA area, as do I(well OC... dealer is LA county), and the TF3 is an SS2. If you want... feel free to PM me and I will connect you with the good salesman, not the guy who stepped in! I will also fwd. you over the global email they sent to their customers with price and all. It appears they are advertising at/under MSRP, but I would have to review the email and I am feeling lazy at the moment.

My update to all this now is that I still haven't heard word one from my dealer here. I'm curious what dealership it is who ordered yours DBean.

After telling my dealer that unless I got my info this evening I'd be taking my business elsewhere, I have been in touch with Becky in MI. She's been AMMAAAZING. As of the moment, I'll be seeing the order through with her to get one shipped my way within the next week or so. Unless someone local shows up with a TF3 on their lot and price matches, Becky has turned my experience around already and I haven't even made the deal official yet. Thanks to all for the recommendation. I think we should clone her and get her in every dealership

So, I started working with Becky a few days ago. We had agreed on pricing and were starting up the financing when I was referred to a dealership locally. They ended up doing the same pricing, and I wouldn't be looking at a large shipping fee and the wait time. Becky was AMAZING, but I had to jump on the opportunity to get the car for similar pricing without the shipping fees.

So, long story short, I ended up driving the CTH home late this afternoon! I'm trying to get my photos loaded, but they're being obnoxious. They'll be up soon.

Thanks to everyone who sent me references and recommendations!

Wait... so you bought your car from someone besides Becky and didn't get screwed? Say it isn't so....

That's great, I'm happy for you. I'm sure Becky is a WONDERFUL saleswoman BUT a few minutes of your own time will usually yield a local solution!

CONGRATS on the car and don't be racing too many BMWs!

Hahaha. I wasn't really getting screwed by the local guys before I went to Becky - but my dealer's manager was being a douche and not ordering the car and lying about it. Becky was very very amazing. I understand why so many on here recommend her and I plan to do the same. BUT yes. After someone told me they knew the TF3 was on a lot locally I jumped on it.

No BMW racing! Promise! Until I smoke em on the track Today however... is canyon day!

And yes! Pictures coming soon! Taking a ton today!

Lol, just playin'

Glad to hear that you walked away from them and got it somewhere else. Now take a drive through their parking lot and wave to them as you go through!

And I'll second, third and fourth Becky on her abilites and demeanor

Hahaha, yah pretty much!! I just knew it wasn't the guy I was dealing with directly and more his manager screwing up the whole deal. But he's very cool and a good friend of a friend so he was just stoked for me that I got the car anywhere even if not through him

I've posted pics in my album, and for some reason I'm having issues linking in a thread, BUT here goes nothin!
