Belly Pan - The Time has Come
I know this subject has been addressed several times but I want your feedback. After driving to the Fest and seeing the amount of dirt on my motor vs those with belly pans I decided to order one and give it try. It appears we can drop the X-Brace and install the pan and reinstall the x-brace over the belly pan.
I do plan to cut a door in the pan for changing the oil and filter. I think the coupes have to drop the belly pan for oil changes and I dont want the dealer droping the x-brach and belly pan each time. I have a few ideas for the door but will finalize once I get the pan here. let me know if anyone has done this or if you have suggestions. thanks mg |

Did you look at the Z28 factory bellypan? I didn't see it on the block list.

Check out a zl1 convertible.
They come with a belly pan. Ofer sells them on gen5diy.com.

I searched for a ZL1 convertible in the area so I could take a peek underneath and verify that the braces are the same, and that it has a belly pan. Found none. :( Looking for an online GM parts catalog now, maybe I can confirm it there.

Do you have one of these on your convertible? Can you confirm that it fits over the bracing that convertibles have? I saw nothing that indicates that it fits convertibles. -c |

Convertible ZL1s do not come from the factory with a belly pan. Unless something has changed for 2015.
