CANCELED CAMARO
Well I guess I got sick of being lied to. I still can't get no info from my dealer or GM. Dealer tell's me my car should be here by 4/23/09 then they say that GM sent them a car they ordered a month after mine and ever since all they say is it's still in Canada with no reason, at least tell me it's on a quality hold, so then I call GM they put me on hold for 10 min's then tell me it's in Canada (no sh*t) and to talk to my dealer about delivery, so after week's of this back and forth phone crap with no info I'm going to wait for a convertable. plus it was getting fishy how bad they wanted to give my $1000.00 back so I will be getting my convertable at another dealer. I don't get them this would be the second $40.000 auto I bought from them in 6 month's, I would be doing everything in my power to keep me as a happy cust. also looked at a G-8 GXP today there nice but i'm going to wait for the vert to come out.:5thgenvert:

Sorry you cancelled your order. Not any guarantee, but it sounds like they are trying to get all of the QC cars out this month. That's 3 weeks max if your dealer doesn't try to play games... Bummer since you have waited this long.
Did they already give you your deposit back ? |

I would never cancel the car as long as it's at 3000 or higher everyone!

Let me just say that I understand your frustration and it's your money and your business. I do not judge and wish you luck getting a vert. Should be nice and I will be jealous.
That being said, I could never cancel my order. Would have never dreamed of it. I would be kicking myself every day. I've been waiting to get another Camaro for years and if this one does not pan out due to some ridiculous reason such as GM bankruptcy, WWIII or massive earthquake, I will seek out a classic used Camaro. One way or another...I'm driving a Camaro within two months.

I don't know you or your dealer. I had a similar event. I ordered on Oct 18th, my car was vin 1662(I think). The order was screwed up, no RS package. The dealer still doesn't have the car and GM called them last week to tell them not to drive the car because of the recall. He told them he doesn't have the car yet. So needless to say I wouldn't take it out on your dealer just yet unless theres something I'm missing. As I stated before I don't know either of you so maybe I'm missing something but there are honest dealers out there that really can't get straight answers from GM. I may be wrong and they may be trying something "fishy" but unless you have proof you might give them the benefit of the doubt. Just my 2 pennies. No disrespect intended.

It sucks that your dealer was clueless. It sounds like your dealer is getting into the markup sweepstakes. Sorry for your loss. If you change your mind, check the link out for good dealers so you don't have to deal with a tool again.

Man it sucks getting so frustrated, but you will be sorry in a month or two you did not wait, you needed to simply keep yourself busy. The wait you start to forget about after you own the car for a few months.
Good Luck with whatever you do, after all the drama and people going nuts on here, I will be amazed if they even bother with the Convertible.
