i am 55, and all i get is mid life crisis, and why you buying a car like that? mostly from middle age women my age. they dont like my firebird , and they gripe they cant get in and out of it. on dates, most women dont say anything. so, i am sure the camaro will be the same. however, when i drop off my 9 yr old son off at school, the boys dig the firebird. but, i tell folks at work too, i like sports cars, and not into mini vans or cookie cutter boxy cars like kia soul and honda fits!!!

I hear the same crap about my V6, until I pulled a 1.70 60' and 12.54 ET on their ass at the strip. Funny they got real quiet after that for some reason. Yes an Auto and V6 they shake their heads but I love my car and that is all that counts.

It's actually funny. I've been to a few car shows since I bought my car a month ago and I always have people ask how much horsepower I have. When I tell them the car comes 323hp stock, they ask if it's a v8. When I tell them it's a v6, I get the shocked look. It's like they can't believe the stock v6 has more power than Thier old V8.

I never really had a negative comment. Just a question as to why I got an automatic.

When I first bought my v6 I got nothing but crap from all my friends because none of them realized I had 323 horses under the hood (way more than ALL their cars). Most of them turned to believers after they actually saw it, sat in, it and drove it.

One of my buddies had the audacity to say "this that v6 bullshit?" about my car. This after I road with him in another v6 Camaro, not even 6 months earlier, with him driving that he outright loved. It's all jealousy..

I was getting gas in mine Friday and this guy a little older than me was filling up his Toyota Camry, he looked over and said "I guess you're lost in the 60's", I said, "Excuse me?" He said, "I was driving a car like that back in the 60's...mine didn't have 323HP only 300hp, I bet you pass everything but a gas station I only got 12 MPG." I laughed and said, "Actually I get over 28mpg on the highway." After that all I heard was crickets.....
