Wow, that's a long time not to have had a problem. It's about as long as I have had mine, pretty much when it first came out. If you hadn't installed it right it would have acted up right away. This is very disturbing! Could it be a bad unit or do the internals only last/perform so long? I would think that once it goes bad it stays bad and you would have re-had the problem within the 50 miles you've driven it since you re-installed, maybe not? BTW where do you have the control unit installed ...could it have been bumped somehow? Also, were you also downshifting when you had the problem?

Sounds like Edgar had a loose connection or didn't install it correctly. Horizon670 addressed it in that thread.

Yea I saw Horizon670 reply. I sure hope that's the reason; although I would have thought that as hard/tight as the harness connects to the pedal connector that it would not have taken 3 mos to become loose to cause the problem.

Agreed. You'd think it would have been an issue from the start. I've had mine for a few months with no issues and I'm impressed with the quality and performance

See my post #226 on this other thread about pedal problems and the controller. It appears it's not uncommon to have an APP sensor problem with our cars that causes stabilitrac, REP, CEL codes.

Even if you can tune the car, it only goes up to a limit that ECU allows you to.

The Throttle Controller gives you much higher settings that you wont be able to reach with simply tuning.

Another advantage of the Controller is that you can choose what's your best setting depending on your mods / tires condition / stickiness / weather and most important, your mood.

Daily driving, you go from SP0 ( Stock ) to SP5 and for Track use or just some spirited driving, you choose higher settings SP6 up to SP9.

With the Tune only, every time you need to change that, you will need a new Tune.
Is it a plug and play system or do I need to retune my car when I install it?

Setting 5 works for me, put it on 9 and watch out man!!!!
I wrote this post in December 2014, today I had to remove the Vitesse Controller because it caused the car to "Reduce engine power" and cause the check engine light to come on.
I did some research before removing the unit and found out I was not the only one who had experienced this. After the removal the car is running normal again so add me to the list that made the mistake of investing in this unit.
Buyer Beware
