HELP! Broke abs sensor wire
I was putting a 1LE diff in my car today and I broke what I think is the ABS sensor wire while popping the axel out of the diff. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have searched and found nothing. I need to fix it before putting the car back together.
Thanks in advance! |

You'll have to buy a new one and replace it.

I see a rear speed sensor listed on a GM parts website in the ABS section, but no pic. That's what that thing is..a hall effect sender.
It looks like its gonna cost you 20 at the dealer, or 11 + shipping online.

Looks like it broke flush where it goes into the plastic housing, like they always do when they get yanked on.

Thanks for the help guys! It did break off at the connector. It was a pain getting the axels to give following bmr's instructions. I'm gonna call the dealer in the morning and hopefully they have it in stock.

it must not be the sensor that im thinking about, i broke one on another car that i had, it caused the abs light to stay on all the time. the dealership charged me like $370 to fix it. hopefully its not much at all.

WSS (Wheel Speed Sensor) is what that part is. Some of them can be extremely expensive. From what my tech program shows me you are lucky and the WSS they use on the Camaro are relatively cheap.
