Still making payments on the Envoy and Camaro, that's how.
One question for the OP though. If your wife regains employment, what are you going to drive to work?

My dad has a beater that we could use if needed for a while. He offered it up the moment we told him what we where doing.

"You traded in an Envoy and a V8 Camaro for a Cruze and you STILL owed money? How did that happen?"

You know, do that many people not actually have to take out a loan to buy a car? What's funny about it, is really I did very well on all these vehicles. What should of happened, and what I bet becky will confirm, is that at the 1 year mark of a loan alot of people are upside down which means it would actually INCREASE your payment to trade it in, because the Value of the car is not as much as what's owed to the lender.

ALL the car is worth to YOU, your EQUITY, is the difference in the car's Value and the amount you owe. In my case, I got approx. 2400 difference in the Camaro, and 2400 more from the Envoy. Meaning I had 4800 in equity. The rest of the money went to the lenders whom had both of those loans to pay them off. This is despite the offer on the Camaro was pretty good. Essentially, I drove a Camaro 2SS last year, even after the minor fender bender for around 2500 bucks. I bet I couldn't of leased it for that lol.

Also.... The Envoy was pretty much trying to die. It had problems and I am glad my wife won't be driving it around anymore. We bought it used @ 36K miles and there is no telling what the previous owner did to it.

got to do. I'm driving a 2LT/RS Cruze as a company car right now and everything you said is so true. What a blast this car is to drive. No wonder GM doesn't want it referred to as a "replacement" for the Cobalt, there is no comparison. Glad you like it, it's a blast to sell them. We'll look forward to the day your park your new Camaro next to the gently used Cruze!!
Indeed! The Cobalt and Cruze are both around the same price, and are compacts, that's about where the simularity ends.

The Cruze is a great car. Sorry you had to give up the SS. As for the Cruze's Turbo I have two words for you. "pulley swap"

Sorry you've given up the Camaro, but the Cruze is really an outstanding car and quite enjoyable to drive.
