Overall, you see very few on the roads. I believe I have seen only 4 and I drive alot...Phoenix, LA, San Diego. Little Advertising which is to be expected for a car like this and only approx 10,000 made so far
across the globe. I like it. Makes the car a bit more special.

Was having breakfast with the wife and always sit by a window just to keep an eye on my Z. A car pulls of the 2 lane state highway into the parking lot and 3 guys (30 smethings) jump out and start a photo shoot
with their phones. Pretty cool.

I was very surprised when I drove by a high school on Friday. It was lunch time and I'm sitting at a red light with a sea of kids crossing the street headed for Wendy's. Got a bunch of thumbs up and "nice Z" from the group......particularly the girls.

Man, if I was 17-18 years old again with this car......you know.

Sugar and I went to Sonic Drive In for a double cheese buger (she eats the top half) and coming back drove through the small town "main drag" of Grapevine, TX and I always do that in Manual Sport.
Coming to a stop light while in second where there were about 30-40 folks waiting on the corner to get into a "dinner show" I decided to give them a little "show". I downshifted to 1st gear and the roar came out.
I DO THINK they were entertained from their looks, mostly big grins!

They could see it was a ZL1.

Two Saturdays ago at a little car show we have every weekend in Kemah I had a old guy come up to me complimenting me on my ZL1 and going about how he has been a judge on several car shows and never seen a Camaro like mine. I told him it was pretty much stock and he said BS. Then I showed the ZL1 badging and all he could say was well they made them in '69 and I replied, and they came back in 2012 with 580 horsepower of awesomeness.

As to parking and people taking pictures.. yeah I get that too.

That's awesome!

May the attention-grabbing machine continue to do just that.

I had a neighbor that I hadn't met yet who was walking his dog around the block. He saw the car in the driveway, and knew what it was, but commented that he thought I had just put the ZL1 emblems on an SS and wondered if it was a poser. I said no and then I remote started it for him.

For me it's the opposite, I have a 2SS 1LE and people keep asking if it is the ZL1. They don't believe me when I tell them it's all stock from Factory. I got the 1LE because I cannot afford the ZL1.

I have had a couple ask, what's this a special edition? Then I pop the hood and they all say the same thing - OMG WTF BBQ it's got a supercharger!!!

I get a kick out of it.

Few thumbs up on the highway mainly from corvette guys who know what it is

I have found that real car enthusiasts will know or have read about or heard of the ZL1. I have not had the I should have bought an SS comment. If I did I would kindly correct them and EDUCATE them so next time they will actually know what they are talking about instead of spouting rhetoric. Those STFU occasions don't seem to happen with them?

I shared a pic of my car via text with a buddy who responded, "Whoa dude, IROC Camaro.. love it man!" Lot's of others assume the car has been modded to look the way it does. And surprisingly, most young kids couldn't care less. They've got their heads down staring into small screens when they're out walking around and pay no attention to cars whatsoever. Very different than when I was a kid and knew all the stats on every car.

I'm afraid they made too many ZL1's and the value will quickly drop due to over production.

I have had many people ask me what my car was, took pictures, asked me if they could sit in the car and generally has attracted lots of attention. Recently I was at a car show and two guys separately came up to me and asked if it was a "real zl1". Another guy asked me if it had the big motor or the baby one. I said it was produced at 580hp and he said..."so you have the baby motor." I informed him that, to my knowledge, GM only made one engine for the ZL1 and he said..."oh no, the big motor is 640hp." I offered to pull up the GM website on my phone but he just walked away muttering that I had the baby ZL1. Why do we even try????
