My guess is you won't see any new info on part number until the car hits the street. Looks like GM pulled all the Z part numbers from the catalog

Rotors, fender flares, rear calipers, and more are now in the GM parts catalog with a special note :(
Quote:
ROTOR, FRT BRK (RESTRICTED PART) (ONLY AVAILABLE VIA SPECIAL ORDER, REQUIRES VERIFIED VIN, CONTACT THE SERVICE PARTS ASSITANCE CENTER)
I'm hoping/guessing this is just temporary

I dont think it will be just temporary, look for a 5 year hold on parts if you dont have a car and want some parts.

Is there a precedent for this on other GM cars?

Only the old SLP F bodies from what I remember.

Not really. Those were/are pretty easy to get. The part numbers have been in the system since before the car was out.

Some parts have a restriction on ordering sometimes, but not very often. The LT1 ECU was like that for a little while when it was new. I've never seen a listing like this before, but if there is a will there is a way to get the parts

I know all this, i was sealing the parts before the car came out too, but as of 60-90 days after the car came out and people made a stink on the parts coming out it all went on restraint, gm wants pics of the damaged parts and a vin, and now want core charge on most bumper for 2014, i still get ZL1 parts to but there take offs more then new, and its from 2nd hand suppliers.

On a side not thanks for all the work you have done.
