Light bars in the rear tinted window

So last week I finally got my windows tinted, with 15% in the rear. At night I now get small horizontal light bars at each of the rear defroster strips. Is this normal? Will it go away after the tint has “cured”.

Thanks

I know what he's referring to and it happen to me. It either went away or I just got used to it but I dont remember. What he's talking about is that headlights when they hit the rear window with the tint, it causes it to glare at points where the antenna strips are. It was rather annoying but like I said I dont even notice it now so it either isnt there or I just got used to it.

Well that would require me to take the car out on a cruise tonight... oh well, if I have to :P

To better describe it: From each light source (headlamp, streetlight) I get the normal tint dimming effect. But from each I also get a column of light lines at each of the antenne strips on the rear window. It's almost as if the tint were put down in a bunch of horizontal strips with gaps left in between (I know that this is not the case).

Ok thanks, well I will call the tinting place and atleast ask them. If they give me the "it will go away" then I can go back to them later if it doesn't.

It's been about a week and a half. Good temps, but the car is in the garage, so not alot of sun baking temps

The best way to describe the light affect is if you squint at a light source you get the same affect as what happen to me and the OP w/ the tint. When you squint at a light source you get that light affect (theres a name for it but I cant htink of it right now).

Actually, in the coupe they act as both antennae and defrost. Convertible the antennae are in the spoiler.

Jim...I know exactly what you're talking about. I noticed it at first too, but I honestly don't know if I just don't notice them now, or they've gone away.
