Stock LS3 boost limit? (Magnuson)

Hey guys
I've finally bought a supercharger for my 2010 Camaro M6 :headband:
Long tube header + 2.5" cat-back installed
I bought the Magnuson kit which comes with 3.8 pulley (6 psi)
This supercharger will make about 125 HP with this pulley compared to 150+ HP with the SLP supercharger!

My question is (How far should I go with the boost to gain 150-160 HP? What's the best choice for the pulley?)

waiting for your replies
Thanks all

Might wanna ask in the FI section, plenty of guys and gals makes serious power with magnuson blowers. Just make sure you have enough fuel going in.

I would go to a 3.6 pulley.

As 62nalide said, this is better asked in the FI section. That being said, guys are running a lot more than that on stock blocks. One pulley size down will most likely get you the number you're looking for.

No such thing as limits bud, more like how long will it last. Keep in mind you have powdered metal rods and hyperexplosive......I mean hypereutectic pistons. With that said YOUR TUNE and supporting mods will be the factor in how long it will live.

Any other mods? I'm okay going down a pulley size or so but I don't like to just throw an SC on and crank up the boost. You'll find that you will be limited on timing and have higher IATs, so the normal gain per pound of boost will not be as much as normal. Plus it's harder on the set up to do it that way.

I would do headers and possibly a cam also, and then crank up the boost. Get it breathing right first you know? Much better, longer lasting, set up that way. Good fuel system + good tune a must for longevity.

10 with meth 8 without but you should run meth. if you want to up the psi any you might want to get id850 injectors. The magnuson injectors that came with my 6.2l silverado tvs1900 were at 97% idc at 8psi. so they were too small for 6psi. and you will need a dyno tune. it has to be a wide band o2 tune no matter what anyone tells you. The tune that comes with the maggie is just to get you to the tuner. Its crap. Maggies hp numbers are bs too. They advertize 120hp on my truck sc too. I got 120hp after 8psi and headers with a dyno tune so it was more like 75hp @6psi stock.

3.6 pulley is pretty common. Anything more than that I would be careful. Get a good wideband a/f guage too.
