Need Advice On Bowties Color - I Have No Style Sense

The gold bowties are not doing it for me. I have a black ZL1 coupe with the polished chrome rims, and the exposed carbon fiber hood insert. What color or colors do you think I should go with on the bowties. The two that I'm thinking of now are:
1. Matte Black inside, leave Chrome border.
2. Cyber Gray Metallic gloss inside, leave Chrome border.

I'm going to get the bowties from Lupe. Any opinions are welcome.

Also, if anyone has a Matte Black and chrome bowtie, please attach a picture. Thanks.

I also have the black ZL! with the same options. I haven't pulled the plug yet but i'm thinking carbon fiber with chrome on the outside like the previous post.

Yes, it looks really nice. Where did you get it done, Wirebender?

Thanks.

When I do mine, I plan to break up the black and provide more contrast.
I think I will have a Red theme on the bowties and do the red-outline center caps for the wheels.

Kinda wish I had ordered Silver. That's rare.

LoL I'm in the same boat I wish I got silver too rare and you can do Silver accents and not have them look out of place. I shaved every bit of color off mine except the Red #1 that's the way I like it. Their is still some contrast when using Matte black or Satin black believe it or not from a side view the badges still look chrome even with them being Satin.

Black center and do the chrome part in red. It will pick up the red in the "1" in ZL1. Then get your calipers powder coated red and you will be the envy of all you encounter.

I did a metallic silver vinyl overlay that I cut/installed myself. I have plenty left over if you wanna try that. PM me if you want. I have no problem installing it too if you aren't comfortable with it.

I had mine painted gloss black and left the outside chrome.
I'd take a picture, but the car is covered in storage.

What do you guys think of Cyber-Gray metallic in the middle with Chrome on the outside. It offsets the black, but still blends nicely with it.

I have a white zl1 and put black front and rear. Really sets off the white car and looks tons better than the stock tie
I am looking to put three strips on the rear sides. Unfortunate I bought vinyl and it does not IMHO Look good at all--so I did not place them. I then received the camaro mag and their strips are aluminum which look much better in the pictures-- though costly. Any other ideas?

my .02.

go get some black vinyl or platidip and try that first. you can do you bowties in less that 30 min at that will show you what matt black and chrome will look like on the car.

I think it looks good I left mine like this for now.

long term I like real carbon laid up in the emblem with the chrome outside still intact. for some reason I like the contrast. The cost is just way higher and until I am done with power mods the money is going there.

I really like lupe's stuff but at the same time I think you will be shocked how a platidiped or vinyled emblem looks really good and is really easy to do. it will alow you to actually try the color on your car before you spend the money to actually buy the painted ones.
