So how do you like the Hurst shifter so far? Is there any vibration through the stick or any issues? It looks good and I am considering changing mine but I have read some negative comments on all the shifters available.

No complaints so far, but not driven it either....lol....in hibernation right now. This is the billet plus 2 with the hard stick and extreme duty bushings/pit pack.

Mines after market, I guess the dealer removed it to gain more room to work.

I just got mine installed at a shop - the dealer told me they want to take the exhaust off. Lets just say that was no bueno with me.

Went to a different place took them 70 minutes to get it done.

Is the Hurst linkage that much better than the stock ZL1 Chevy linkage?

Linkage is not changed....only the shifter part per the video. I do reccomend the pit pack heavy duty bushings. This ensures the bushings (plastic) are rock solid and resisit wear.

Not sure why Hurst doesn't include the heavy duty bushing with their shifter instead of making it an "upgrade". It's an additional cost and the original bushing is substandard if you read all the complaints on line.

YES!!

I'm not sure if most folks know what a short throw shifter does.....bottom line, it gets you in gear faster. Solid feel, I will never have any other product in my car other than this!!
