Make mine with an LS7 or LSA...

As wonderful as the new SS Camaros are, and they ARE, there seems to be "sumthin' missing" in the current list of Features 'n Options...

Yes, there's the "currently-stillborn" Z28 version that many seem to be hopin' for, but some folks are a lil too impatient to wait for GM to make it happen. Sooo...

Can we have a show of hands for those GENUINELY interested, with checkbook or PayPal in hand (figuratively), in having an SS with:

1) LS7 7.0 Liter (500+ hp) WITH a valid Warranty

OR

2) LSA Supercharged 6.2 (600+ hp), again, WITH a valid Warranty?

BOTH would include Headers/CatBack/"tune". Price $urcharge of $12.5K and $21.5K, respectively, on customer-supplied OR custom-ordered SS, M6 or A6. A6 requires upgrading ($1.5K). Composite hoods and other "custom" touches also available... Driveline upgrades available as well (e.g. HD axles and Tremec-optional). Conversions F.O.B. Metro Detroit (U.S.) and Toronto-area (Canada - price$ slightly higher [exchange rates and higher Parts costs]).

Consider this as a "COPO" car...a great base to build from...and all manner of cosmetic, visual and mechanical upgrades will be available.

This is NOT a "commercial come-on"; this IS a survey to gauge legitimate consumer demand. Build dates to commence late-Fall '09.

BTW, a 350-horse 3.6 V6 Package is in development, as well...

Thanks for stopping, and your genuine participation IS appreciated and acknowledged...

Yes, I would have opted for a more powerful engine if they offered it. Since they are not I will do it myself.

Might have looked at the LS7, but the extra $ not likely. The big draw for us was the price with the extra 12.5K would have put it very close to 50K out the door and just little much for me right now.

While we all want the extra HP...Im not sure how many would sell to the "general" public?

You could offer it and sell it, but not at the rate I think you beleive...it would be small numbers...like 10K a year tops and that's pushing it!

I would have opted for a 500hp version but not at $50K...low $40Ks and you'd have deal. I'm not sure where $36K went to be honest...yes it's a great looking car and yes it has an LS3 and leather all that other stuff, but $36K worth...I question that!

Remember the "COPO" reference? Plain...understated (or?)...

A 1SS with LS7, out the door, for $45K...or LESS...Warranteed...

'Course, if you want "all the bells 'n whistles", bring THAT check, too...

10,000 units? NOT in the business case...

As to "equal opportunity for all", this venture will operate from Metro Detroit, as per initial post. With "Free Trade", residence in of little issue...they'll be BOTH sides of our friendly border...

PMs sent.

This sounds like a commercial come-on starting in fall 09.

I'd want to hear more about the v6 too. I hope the information gets out there before people jump on aftermarket parts and wish they'd waited.

What exactly is this thread for; just a consensus or is this an ad? It seems you say you'd like a show of hands who'd be intersted, then you suggest that you're almost taking orders for such modified cars? What is the case as this may not be the right Section.

"Opinion" or "wish" is one thing...a sincere desire to have one is a totally different situation...

The components are in place...but is there a "market", truly?

There's only one way to find out...and having "a pen in your hand", or "fingers on the keyboard" defines true intent.

Please send NO monie$ or deposit$...yet...

Details to follow...very soon...

This is likely to be the "volume version"...with the LS-oh-my-gawd as the "halo"...

You can already get an aftermarket package with a warranty for that much money.

This sounds alot like the original Yenko story....

Back-door hush-hush dealings with the factory or dealer-installed is the question...
