400 - 425 HP What's The Difference???
Can someone tell me definitively what the difference is between the 6A and the 6 speed standard transmissions engines is? I just bought my 1SS RS 6A and am curious if it is possible to buy some parts and get the extra 25 horses??? I have already ordered my Predator tuner and would buy a Vararam if I could find a dealer to order it from...that should net at least the 25 horse difference, but I want more!!!!!!

As far as the performance numbers, it doesn't look like there is much difference between the two as far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile E.T. times.

I would imagine, on a dyno, that they are probably closely matched and both closer to 400hp.

I believe what Garagelogic is trying to say is that the difference is the auto and the Manual have different engines, the auto is an L99 and has the heads for DOD that increases fuel economy while the manual has the LS3.

L99's can make plenty of power, and if you search the forums you will find plenty of go fast parts, So much so that I don't think you will really "Miss" that 25HP in the end.

You should worry that much, most M6 owner won't beat you unless they are actually good drivers

Stop looking at the numbers and start looking at the results. They trap about the same and finish in about the same time. It doesn't matter.

Get 06MonteSS custom tune for the Predator. You won't be disappointed.
