Like others have said, I didn't expect any major changes on a 1 model-year-old vehicle...just some minor tweaks. I'm glad the H.U.D. will be available...it's a cool feature.

Maybe folks are just looking at the Mustang's dyno numbers. If Ford didn't underrate the 5.0 and it dynoed what it was suppose to for 412hp(around 350ish) then no one would have a problem with the power. The Camaro can't add anymore hp, then it will be stepping on the C6 Corvette's feet. The V-6 upping the Mustang's V-6 is cool. If it could up it in mpg would be even more of a blow landed by GM! Ford is highly touting having a 305hp car that gets 31mpg hwy. The only thing I am really interested in is 1) Is the HUD easy to install on a 2010 (if possible) 2) Will they offer different gears Hell the biggest thing I'm waiting on is the yellow interior trim kit! Maybe if they offer them on the 2011's as an factory option I can finally get some for my 2010!! I agree.

I'm really glad HUD is being offered from the get go but I was REALLY hoping for more interior color packages similar to the IOM package. I would so buy the a yellow interior package if it is offered. |

I do think MPG numbers are going to be more important than HP numbers in most v6 buyers minds.

yeah VERY Cool!
nice bump for the already HOT V6... and as far as HUD and Synergy, thats all good but of no interest to me, so im not like... "OH CRAP!" plus, i wanted that "first" 2010 "rebirth year". but really... this is awesome news and we should all be very happy about it! CAMARO RULES

+1 Also, people, take a moment and realize that we now have 312 hp coming from a V6?! The stock LT1 (V8) in my '97 Z28 has 285! Congrats to the engineers who are increasing the numbers, and shame on those who trash the accomplishment!

I've seen a few complaints that this isn't a giant bunch of changes. I'm trying to understand where you guys think GM should have improved. The Camaro was just released as a 2010, and 2011 also marks the first Camaro convertible, pretty much a whole new car. Between these major events, I don't think GM has a lot of room for R&D on other changes.
For those who are bound to point out that the GT is faster than the SS, I will dispute that claim on two fronts. Firstly, you're not winning by much. A good Camaro driver will catch you. Secondly, there never were many people at the track that showed up stock, and 2011 won't change that. When our higher displacement engines come to the track, we will frequently be coming with exhausts, headers, intakes, and sometimes other parts. For the same modifications, it's a safe bet that we get the same slight advantage. Since both stock and modded pony cars are so close, let's be nice and show respect for both companies doing a good job. Finally, we are getting some very important features here. The increasingly popular V6 is going to start seeing more orders, and that is the segment that is most important to win. That segment is where the numbers of so many other competitors lie, and winning there helps Chevrolet make claim to a very competitive segment in terms of performance and fuel efficiency. We're getting SGM on more cars, which is something our community specifically requested. We're also getting that HUD we wanted so much. To say the very least, this is a very impressive update for a car in its second model year. We are very lucky to have GM catering to our requests so eagerly, and we should be eager to show our excitement.

If the HUD is all their adding to the 2SS model I'm certainly glad I did not deprive myself the enjoyment of owning a 2010 since Feb. 9th......if you know what I mean. :-)

Give it time you cannot add everything a model year you do a little each yer to make it better and better. If they did every upgrade for 2011 ou would have nothing new for 2012 except for the convertible or Z/28 you keep the buyers in the game
