need a tune. or if you are really lucky, your dealer can change it to the rating of your new tires...if they are nice.

I was pretty easily able to get my 6MT RS up to 140 on a closed track straight away.

65-100 is kind of slow but once you get into fourth gear you really start moving. 120-130 doesnt take very long at all.

If it came with 18" wheels and tires you were limited to 118.

Must be a manual issue. My 3rd gear (automatic) is a rip from 65 -100. Love that gear when on the highway to do some spirited driving.

I wonder how fast you are really going at those speeds. The speedo is off by a percentage of whatever speed you are going. I cant remember what percent and if its higher or lower. I think 5 percent. Anyways gps shows true speed

2LT/RS - easy 110, stayed at 110 for a few miles. Didn't have any issues and the car felt like it could go faster. Handling was perfect!

I would think it would be easy as I hit 103 just making a simple pass from 48mph. Some @$$ punched as I tried to pass him, so I hit it harder and in like 3 seconds I was doing 103. I got around the moron though. LOL

Not a manual issue. My 3rd gear is great up to just shy of 95(shorter tires kick the speed-limiter) and 4th isn't bad either.

I have a Manual with the 19" Pirellis and I have personally hit 145. Still had more to go but ran out of road... Its the tires. If you have an LS with the heritage (Black Steel Wheels) you have a limiter. If you are running the 19's or 20's (Pirellis) Your car is not limited to 118...

Fastest I've gone in my 2LT Manual before i let go of the pedal was 143 on a straight flat strip of road about a mile in length, which is pretty fast for a V6 especially with all that weight, I have an older corvette and the fastest i've gone in it was 164 and is about 500lbs lighter in the same area. However when it comes initial acceleration the Camaro is sluggish and for lack of a better word, has poopy low end power and throttle response. What this car needs is more low end power and torque, sure horsepower is awesome but with no torque and more aggressive rear end gears these v6 crapstangs will be walking all over us.
