magnaflow 3" comp series cat back

magnaflow 3" comp series axle back.. where can you buy just the axle back to match up to the American Racing Headers?

Magnaflow does not list the axle back alone currently, it is only packaged with there catback system.

I sent my rep a request to see if they would sell the axle back alone, time will tell

If you are going to use ARH with their X-Pipe then you should just add an Axle-back system.

If you want the cat-back for a while before the ARH you might have to put on the cat-back but when it comes time for the ARH I would sell the cat-back, put back you stock system, put the axle-back on in place of your factory mufflers.

You might want to shoot Andy at ADM Performance a PM on this stuff. He has already done a few Camaros with ARH and Magnaflow. I'm sure he can set you straight.

It is indeed.

Here is what magnaflow quoted to me "Unless the vehicle is supercharged, then the 3” is not the best solution. For a 3” kit to work on a supercharged or turbo app, the x pipe assembly plays a crucial role in helping to create horsepower and torque"

So they will not be offering just the axle back.

Regards

Talk to Andy (ADM) about ARH with slip fit cats only and the Magnaflow cat back. He had a great sale on them a few weeks ago.

magnaflow prototyped there 3" system on my car a few months back and i just got dynatech's supermaxx longtubes and hi flow cats and magnaflow prototyped a new midsection to make it a true bolt in 3" from collectors back. not sure if that mid section will be a straight bolt in with the arh long tubes but if you havent bought them yet the dynatechs are really nice pieces, check them out. oh and it sounds incredible.

Quick question: I don't intend to mod my car drastically (such as headers, supercharge, cam, etc.), so I'm wondering what diameter tubing is best? 2.5" or 3"? Which will gain a bit more HP? Which will sound better?

Basically the dude at the muffler shop told me he could x-pipe, magnaflows and use 3" pipes. But i'm wondering if I should just stick to the 2.5"?

So there basically saying not to get the 3" unless you are going supercharged?

unless your looking to make over 550 hp stick with the 2.5" set up, you'll gain more. if you check out magnaflows website you'll see they offer various 2.5" systems but only 1 3" system. during dyno testing they found more power with the 2.5", actually lost a little with the 3". now if your making over 550hp you need the 3" to make the most power.
