when replacing H pipe with resonated x pipe should I remove mufflers?

I have flowmasters and it sounds great. I cut off my resonators a bit ago and the exhaust is raspy now especially if the car hasnt warmed up. So I discovered magnaflows resonated x pipe which I guess is a muffler but has a x pipe core. So that being said that it is a muffler...should I remove the flowmasters then and just have straight pipes after the single resonated x pipe (magnaflow muffler)?

Star with the flowmasters first. If you don't like it take them off and see if you like that better.

I'd say it could be done (as SOLO's setup is similar to this, except I think they might also use a couple of small resonators after the mufflers before running out the back....don't quote me on that though lol)...but it should be much much better than just a muffler delete thats forsure.

If you have the money to play around with it, you may want to give it a shot. I can tell you with confidence adding the resonated X to your (resonator-less) flowmaster setup will reduce the rasp, as well as some in-cabin drone if you have any. Downsides is it may quiet the noise level down further than you wish, as well as reduce some of the "rumble".

If you decided to try just the resonated X, you may want to watch the video below. This car has just the resonated X and what appears to be the stock resonators.

I'd say without the resonators it would sound less muffled.
