275/40-20 Tire recommendations ?

Morning all,

I'm in the market for new tires, (275/40-20s non staggered) and have been searching for the better part of a month trying to decide which to go to. I'm not a track guy, so I dont really need anything for racing.

I initially had my heart set on the Vredesteins, but speaking with a few tire shops, I'm starting to have my doubts. Basically, I've been told due to the AZ heat, the Vreds wont hold up, tread life would be around 20,000, and if I'm not a track guy, the Vreds would be a waste of money. They've recommended Nitto Motivo, BFG G Force Sport Comp, and the Yoko Parada Specs as better tires. I would like to make the purchase on Monday, and I'm trying to stay in the $200 $225 range. so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks all!

Zam

I am running Capital Sport UHP Plus 275/40-20's, I got them from Firestone at 140 bucks each and they handle pretty well, no complaints here.

BFG Comp-2. Firmer sidewall than P-Zero, much better wet performance, sit just a little wider footprint and have a better wear rating than P-Zero. Had them on the rear of my 2010 L99 and they will be going on LS3.

Tire Rack does not have the rears anymore but Discount tire has them.
