Active Fuel Management. It basically drops your engine down to 4 cylinders when cruising for better gas mileage. The problem is when you add aftermarket exhausts and headers it sounds horrible. I tuned mine out and can still get 22mpg on the highway.

Has anyone ordered the rear section-only Atak system? I would like to know if the sound is much different if you dont buy the full system. Thoughts on this? I can't see how the borla pipe back to the axle would make much difference in sound if everything else is stock.

It sounds pretty much the same....I do not recommend it though because you then have to cut the OEM system to install it. If you get the full Camaro Borla ATAK System, it is as simple as removing the OEM system and installing the new Borla system.

We have 2 of the ATAK systems left in stock if anyone needs one....

Well I have already cut mine to install an SLP loudmouth I, but am not really happy with it and may consider this.

Can you tell me how far back the cut is for the ATAK? Borla does not have install instructions on their site for it yet.

Yea...the S-type has been around for a bit, but the ATAK system is brand new. Here's a quick video I put together last night.

I'm not sure why I didn't think about this before. I've combined my Borla S video with the new ATAK one so you can hear a better side by side comparison. I was going to shoot the ATAK in my garage, but it is louder at full throttle and I didn't think my neighbors would've been too happy about it.
