Well for me its kinda tricky...
I like 2nd gens, but only '70-'73, I think the rest are ugly as hell. The first gens I like the '69 SS I absolutely hate all of the 3rd gens, they were pretty much garbage, but just about everything was in the '80s, lol The 4th gens are ok, I hate the '93-'97 because of the LT1 (I've owned two of them, worst engine ever) My '14 1LE is my favorite Camaro ever. |

3rd is my favorite as far as looks go, especially the 89/90 IROC's.
5th is a really close second though, and in terms of convertible I think the 5th is the best looking. Ranking (for the Camaro, Firebird would be different) would go something like: 3 5 1 2 4

I've owned a 2nd, few 3rds, the 5th, and driven several 4ths fairly regularly. 3rd and 4th are/feel very similar with the 3rd being a stiffer suspension and harsher ride. Both desperately need SFC's. The 2nd was pretty but pokey (1980 350). Nothing to write home about beyond appearance. 5th is more comfortable, stable, and better fit and finish by far.
