Glad you got the car ready Zman!
So happens I spoke to the Vette Sette guy on this earlier tonight. He let me know a couple things.. -Meeting in Marietta around 1130 at the NW corner of I-35 and 32 at the Valero Station. -Finoglio's BBQ takes cash only. I'd say bring $20 or so. -Horton Car museum takes cash only. I believe tickets are $15. -If you have a walkie talkie/Radio bring it. We can exchange #s before we roll, but way easier to get on the radio to shout at each other for directions, etc.. Sounds like there will be around 6 drivers from Tulsa and we'll have around 6 from DFW. Styron in the Vette Sette will give Finoglio's a shout and give them head count for both groups. Funny I know, but this place is not used to "groups".. LOL! ZMan, right now we are planning on meeting at the Starbucks (NW corner of 121 and I-35) just to make it easy. Thinking we can meet at 0900 grab some coffee get on the road by 1000. Should give us plenty of time to intercept the group at 1130 or so. Looking forward to it! |

I'm good w that SS. If you know how many might join, please give me a headcount as the BBQ needs a day or 2 heads up on how many folks will be there.
Apparently it's a small hole in the wall in Nocona. |

To avoid any confusion,
Here's the location of the Starbucks we are meeting at: https://www.starbucks.com/store-loca...-tx-750674188- It's just south of Vista Ridge Mall. We can meet behind Startbucks in the parking lot to the right. Front lot will probably be packed. |

That's possible. For me I would usually cut over to 35 at either Paul's Valley or Davis but if you want to meet up around 240 and 35 we can run down to Marietta together. It will be me and probably one other person. Still not sure who I am bringing but a few guys want to go, mostly for the chance to drive my car.

SumWhite, Snowman,
I think the Vette Sette guys are heading through OKC and down I-35. Let me check with them, IF you want, you can probably hook up w them on the way through. If not, go solo and we'll meet y'all in Marietta around 1130. |

If they are headed thru okc I would meet up with them. Safety in numbers, less of a chance for a ticket with vettes around.

For the BBQ headcount we'll have 2 vehicles and 4 people are going we dont wanna run outta BBQ
Edit: Hey I just remembered that Saturday is Summers Last blast in Vernon Texas (towards Amarillo on 287) its about 96 miles from Nocona if you've never been its cool as from 7Pm -9:30 they close down Wilbarger street to 1500 registered cruisers(1978 and older) then it opens up to all and there's some crazy stuff that goes on! on Friday at 8:30 pm they have a burnout contest on a public street! yes the men in blue are there to keep us safe depending on when were done at the museum we may roll that way really only downfall is its a long a$$ ride home if you stay till midnight or later this action starts on Thursday so its a weekend event and brings people from all around NM and OK

Snow,
My contact at the Vette Sette said there may be some bad weather coming into Tulsa Saturday. (Forecast) If so, sounds like they may bail. We are planning on rolling, doesn't look too bad for Saturday at this point for us between DFW and Nocona. Scattered showers here to the south. The route that the vette sette guys take is not on the map. (Marietta to Nocona) , but I can get written directions. We can still plan on 1130 in Marietta if y'all are good w that. 👍🏼👍🏼 |
