Car looks great, bringing it to LS Fest?

I stopped by last Tuesday. They had the interior back in after having the cage painted. All the parts are there and I'm hoping they get the engine assembled this week. They promised the car back to my by mid July.

I plan to bring it to the C5 Fest in August.

Here are few pics of the interior that I took last week.

D.E. you can take out that passenger seat and those rear seats to loose some weight when you run the strip.Good luck on your first run.!

D.E. take off that passenger side headrest. With the cage in the car you will have enough problems getting a look around and that headrest gets in the way.

Stopped at IPS today. Here are some engine and head shots. Timing set is on. Cam is in. Waiting for the head gasket to come in tomorrow to bolt the heads on (the Cometic gasket they had ordered didn't fit properly, so they ordered a new one).

Here is the bottom of the engine. Note we now have the correct reluctor wheel. Livernois installed that, put in the diamond pistons, and rebalanced it for us.

All Pro 6-bolt heads. Note the "O-ring" grooves to create a secure seal between the intake and the heads.

Heads are on and Meziere water pump.

We set the intake manifold on the engine to get an idea of what it will look like. It's still wrapped up in plastic because it's been polished and the fuel rails are being anodized black, so they aren't on it yet. It will be mounted on the engine next week and I'll get better shots then. But this gives you an idea of how it will sit on the engine.

What hood are you going to use? Or will that clear the stock one?

It should fit under the stock hood. It was all measured very carefully to insure proper fitment when the intake manifold was ordered from Hogan.

Just curious how long the build was supposed to take and how long it's actually taken? I'd love to do something like this eventually but dont know if I could handle 7 months down time.

I dropped the car off at IPS on December 1, so they've had it 8 months. However, I decided to put a cage in the car which added 3 months to the project... had to wait to get the car in the cage shop and then to get it painted.

My daily driver is a 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD truck. My husband has a smaller car (Honda CRV) that we use most of the time because it has better fuel economy. I bought the truck to haul the Camaro to the track.
