The 10's
Quote:
1. You need a 9" REAR....otherwise you will continue to "pop" them. 2. You need a Cam if it's stock to increase efficiency of Engine with V3. 3. You need a Real Tune (on dyno ) to set engine parameters. Bob.

This is all wrong my friend. His stock rear with a trutrac will hold up to 9 second runs. he does not need a cam, he is running stock boost. he can up the boost for more power and still be fine with the stock engine. he doesn't even need more boost yet he needs to leave the line better. Jannettys tunes are top notch and don't need a dyno, he has remote tunes running 9 seconds. data is compiled with my laptop that's all he needs.

He now has a launch controller to help him off the line. with a little more practice and little bit of tweaking he will hit his mark.

I appreciate you input but have to disagree. 1. The problem I had with my rear was do to the Richmond Gears that have a History on breaking plus it was used. Look at all the ZL1's and SS Camaro's that are easily running in the 10's with the GM 391 gears. 2. I don't need a cam to break into the 10's If I want to go deep into the 10's then I would agree with you. I am just trying to hit 10.999 LOL 3. I have to say if you do a search about Jannetty and his tunes you are going to be hard pressed to fine anything but praise from his customers. He has installed numerous Vortech superchargers on LS3 engines and has the procedure down pat. |

Check your text messages at the tree like I do.
My reaction time was .6 when I ran a 12.5. Maybe I was looking for my beer. Lol

Ok Brian ............Good Luck..........Early Spring or Late Fall will be your best times to find the AIR You will need. 1. Yes a GM Built ZL1 391 Gears are the way to go. 2. Yes 10.999 with some weight reduction about 300. LBS. 3. Most cars that go into the 10's are Dyno tuned at one time or another. I would think if you can make 485 HP to the rear wheels and bring your car weight down to 3750. LBS. you will get your 10.9 slip. Best of Luck. Bob.
