Looking to do some unconventional

I am looking to do something a little out there. Long story short I need a new front bumper, and I saw a camaro driving down the road the other day with a push bar in front of the car. Anyone know where I can get one that would fit a 2013 SS?

have you thought this through? won't it look like a cop car?

if you are sober and sure..(lol), I would call Westin Automotive. If they do not offer one, they would be able to tell you who does. They pretty much own that market segment.

I have seen gen5 Camaros with them, but I have to believe theyare adapted from another one instead of being made for the Camaro. Fleet Safety doesnt list a push bar for the Camaro.

I didn't read through everything, but this guy gives a good amount of info on the procedure and where to get everything: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=287683&page=2

He put it on a V6, but it might help steer you in the right direction, or even work for the SS. Doesn't actually look that bad, but it's not something I would do haha.

HAHA yes I was sober when I posted, and no I am not completely sure yet. I saw one cruising and to me it look a little out there, but badass. Just trying to think through different options. It is either that, or the ZL1 bumper, but I feel like I want to do something that is not being done by everyone modding their Camaros.

Thanks for finding this for me! I probably should have searched it before posting.

That's what I was thinking...like the Local Motors Rally Fighter, only using a Camaro.

hahah I had a feeling something like this was coming. I understand most people would never put a push bar on their Camaro, but hey, there are plenty of things people are doing with theres that I would never do.

If you think you may sell the car some day, it would be hard to sell with a push bar on it.

Push bars look cool (hey, MY opinion!), but they are also very useful. I had a police style push bumper on my S-10 truck a few years ago. I used it countless times, pushing disabled vehicles out of traffic, bump- starting vehicles, or even ramming stuff (FACT: sometimes stuff just needs to be rammed). Some of the things I did with that bumper would simply not be believed, so I won't even try to mention them here.

I'm pretty sure that I need one on my Camaro.

push bars are pointless functionally unless tied to the frame rails, if not properly braced it would be more of a damage multiplier than anything
