heated seat wont work

So I just got the metra kit installed a few weeks ago and one morning after I go out and it was cold so i decided to turn on my heated seat(driver) and it all seemed to be working but I was driving for about 15 minutes and it wasnt warm yet and i look and its off but my passenger wsrmer is still on and seats nice and hot.
So passenger heated seat works but driver does not. Could it be something with the wiring to the new dash kit thats messed up or do i need to replace the seat warmer in my drivers seat?
Any helps greatly appreciated

There could be a short in the heating element inside the seat and for safety its shutting it off to prevent a fire, Take it into the dealer to get it looked at, If the element has to be replaced its a pretty involved job due to the leather upper seat cover needs to be removed to access the heating unit.

the wire breaks right at the place where the wire enters the heating element. Both my Camaros have had this issue. I had heard that gm is currently looking for a new vender due to the problems with these and there are no replacements available at this time don't know how true that is but im calling chevy tomorrow to see if I can buy one to replace mine.I honestly cant believe they haven't issued some type of campaign fix for this since the chance for a fire is there and almost every heated seat failure can be traced to this problem.
