Muffler delete tips question
Have any of you guys seen exhaust tips that are 5in opening rolled lip stainless? I held up a pair of these when etting ready to do my muffler delete and they fit the huge opening perfectly, but the problem is they all have a 4 inch inlet, obviously the camaro exhaust is like 2.5. Magnaflow has several but their all clamp on. Help! Anyone know where I can get some?

I can't answer your question but I just called my local muffler shop here in Ct (Manchester), today that fabricates custom exhaust systems. Pete says he has not seen or worked on a new Camaro yet. His comment was: "No one around here can afford a $35,000.00 Camaro." LOL.
I plan to bring my SS in when I get it to see about flowmasters or equil type mufflers. He gave me a verbal guestament of about $150.00 each installed if bolt on as I described. |

No I havent done it yet. But its not for a lack of trying. As far as not doing mods, that all went out the window when a ram air revved at me and I reveed back and all I could hear was his car. Well that and the conversation me and "in a hurry" had the other day, got me all excited about actually hearing the car. But I took it to get it done and hawk had a set of 5 inch outlet tips and they filled the big hole in the rear much better and the rolled lip looked awesome, but the problem is they are 4 inch inlet and he cant adapt that to our tiny exhaust. But after seeing it I cant go back with the stock looking ones because it looks cheesy compared to the big rolled ones, plus ( danny will like this) going up on size will deepen the exhaust note. So there lies my dilemma. Oh to the other guy 150 isnt terrible, but we were 80 bucks with new tips included. But im sure that will go up greatly with these new tips, If they exist. Help!

yeah it generaly is a diesel tip. Thats my problem, they all come with a 4 inch inlet, and our cars have a 2.5 pipe which is to small to fill the gap.

Here are some pics of the exhaust off the car, more pics and vids will come once i actually get my car, lol! Here is the full set up assembled. 5" polished tips. Top: before painting inside black. Bottom: after painting inside black. Why not just buy this Magnaflow system w/5" tips ? I ordered it 2wks.ago for $350. plus $32.39 Ship.=$382.39 I then cancelled the order because I found out I needed to make too many changes to fit my V6.
