Thumbs down Bought, Then Crashed

I was lucky enough, for may age (20) to grab my hands a 2014 Camaro. Drove it for about a week with a lot of fun and mods on the way!

The day before Thanksgiving, BOOM Car accident! Yes a car is a car, it can be replaced but I worked so hard to get this car! Wasn't a V8 but I didn't need a V8. V6 was plenty, specially for traffic in CA.

I was making an unsecured left turn. Across from me, no headlights or cars to be seen in my sight. I proceeded to make my left turn as a car comes rushing through, swerves infront of me to avoid t-boning my car and his car proceeds to go forward AFTER hitting me. I was going maybe 10-15 mph he was going around 35-40 mph. I love this car from what I've drove so far. THIS SUCKS.

UPDATE: 12/1/2017
Car was pronounce totaled. RIPieces!

Upgrading to a camaro with a bit more options.

Sorry about your loss... it can be fixed, you are ok. Why even bring up cylinders.

I'm hoping it isn't totaled. I don't think it is, but thank you. I've gotten comments, not on here, saying the v8 would have held better, should have gotten a v8, etc. Just firing the gun before someone else aims at me.

Hey, at least you're good. The car can be fixed or replaced. Kudos, to you for getting the car you wanted, v6 or not. If it's good enough for you. Its better than, getting into something, you may not be able to handle. Bcuz of peer pressure.

Sorry for your loss.

So was he just in your blind spot or no headlights on? I've had some very obvious booboos in my past so not judging, just curious.

20 years old and pulled in front of someone. Might as well get and old econobox. Your insurance will mostly be going crazy.

Good luck to you.

either get it fixed or get another 6 cylinder.they are quite good and no almount of extra power would have kept that accident from happening.hope you are ok...

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

sorry about your crash OP. I got hit by a guy head on who wasn't paying attention about a year ago. I used that opportunity to upgrade to the ZL1 bumper.. perhaps you can pull some strings from the bodyshop and make something like that happen? (ie: get the SS non-RS bumper)

Haha! He's the C5 welcome matt. It is a script. Been here forever. Everybody need something.

Sometimes he needs to read the thread instead of just looking at post count to fire his welcome matt.

Haha!

thank you for the replies (:

Thanks for all the replies! I'm not finding out anything till tomorrow. I have a relative good relationship with the body shop, I told them I had a spoiler, side skirts and a front splitter on the way. They told me to just bring the parts in and they'll install and paint if wanted for no extra charge.

If it is totaled, already called the dealer to inform them I'll be in the market for a high model. Since GAP and my insurance will pay my car off, just finished out a loan so my score will go up quite a bit. so I've been looking at a 2016 2SS.

I believe he was in my blind spot as well as no head lights turned on till too late. There was also a tree down the road that could have blocked any lights, I still should have seen his lights ON the road at least. its super tough to say.
