Very good post. In today's economy. Where we are just beginning to recover from a recession, not many people have SS money laying around. I did, but for me it was my credit that held me back. I didn't want a $500 monthly payment. So I figured I would rebuild my credit. Save money on a 6cylinder and when my credit is fixed get the SS. But in the meantime mod the car out. The site has Ben unbelievably helpful but some of the SS guys have a superiority complex. Just my 2 cents.

I love my v6. fuel wise it was a better idea to get. just the engine is the big difference. next summer my twin turbo set will be put in and I will put out 469 to the wheels so should beat any stock v8. makes me happy. especially some v8 stang that wants to show off what they got. but either then that my v6 is just as good or will be as a v8 one day

You better think twice about doing a twin turbo set up on a daily driver. If you cant afford a new engine then you have no business modding any car.

SO since you plan on financing turbo kit pluss install, make sure you have enough credit for a new engine as well!

Also a twin turbo install could have many problems, its not just a easy bolt on!

I own a V6 and would have to say if I was going to do anything I would put that cash on the side for an SS. From experience any kind of power adder always adds some sort of temperment to the car.

Will you people please stop telling him to get an SS? He just wants to run a mid/high 13, that's slow for an SS. Why trade when he's happy.

OP, I know you said no juice, but it's really your best option. A simple 100 shot and a tune and you're low 13/high 12 all day. Won't affect your reliability or fuel economy at all. Not too expensive either

Very true. I plan to get an SS when the timing is right. I have a wife and son and could have bought an SS but the financing was ridiculous due to my credit. Give me another year an I will have one. In the meantime, like I said. I'll be happy with a high 13 second car.

That's with a V6? Wow. Congrats. I see its a 2010. Can the 2013 be expected to accomplish that?
