I would make an educated guess of 2500.

They officially started production in the end of March - since this time approximately 40,000 cars have been built.

I heard they were putting out about 400 per day, so I would say about 2400 is about right on a 6 day week

Pretty darn close - Mine just got built today and I'm #39799.

March 2009 - August 2009 = 25 weeks/40,000 cars = 1600 a week.

I think there is only one shift, they are working overtime on Saturdays till the end of October I believe. 400 cars a day, 2400 a week.

Anyone know how many are on the order board right now?

2400-2500 is my guess. You can't go back to March and calculate up to August. They weren't cranking them out at first, and they didn't start Saturdays until mid-June. They also took an entire week off in July.
