Bolt on SS vs. Srt8 Challenger
I've got 2 co-workers with srt8 challengers that want 2 meet a the track. On is a auto 2010 6.1 with cat-back exhaust and a chip The other is a bone stock 2013 392 m6.
I've got 2010 ss m6 CAI intake, OBX 1 7/8 longtubes, and gmpp axle back exhaust. What do you guys think about the outcome. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

the 392 would be closer, the other would not. I raced my buddies charger srt8, he had intake exhaust and tune. I had intake and HF cats, I beat him each time. now he has a KB Supercharger and I have a turbo, we never ran again yet , but his car is fast. he also knows how to drive very well, so I didn't win because he sucked lol.

My 2008 Challenger ran 12.90's all day with just a canned tuned and intake.

Camaro will beat the 6.1. The 6.4 is a drivers race.

Driver skill will determine the outcome. Assuming everyone dead hooked and shifted perfectly my money would be on the SS with those mods.

The 392 M6 is just not that quick, it's a handful to launch 470 lbs of torque on 245/255 series tires and a manual is a bad combination. Most drivers are lucky to see high 12s. If it were an automatic 392 I'd say it would be a very good race with the nod going to it. The 6.1 tuned automatic car may be the best match.

I finally ran the 6.1 srt from a 70-150mph roll (private road of course) I jumped out one car on him as soon as we hit it and steadily put car lengths on him to the end. I still wont be satisfied till we race from a dig.

You race the 392 yet? Should be a good race from a roll. Really the only part a 6spd shines for those cars.
