2015 1LE vs 2008 M5 & 340 RWHP 01 SS
I raced both a 2008 M5 w/ SMG and a 340 rwhp '01 Camaro SS last night. The M5 was a dead tie, we went from 40-140. I spun into 3rd though, it was too cold for the Goodyears. My headers and intake are scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday. After they are installed and I get tuned, I'll re-race him. I should be able to take him no problem.
After that I raced a 340rwhp '01 Camaro SS from 20-130. That was an easy race, I took him from the start. Are videos from Mexico allowed to be posted on here? If not I can PM you the races if you'd like to see them.

Yea, those M5's are nobodys joke and will put up a fight. Even the 2001's ish are worthy for a fight too. Nice runs op.

The M5 only makes 380 ft lb of torque and weighs over 4,000 pounds. That engine has to wind up to get into its power sweet spot. If that M5 was in the wrong gear he could be playing catch up to the 1LE. However the M5 will pull hard on the top end and leave the 1LE in the dust.

Judging by the OP's signature, his car is stock. M5's are such capable track and street cars it is not even funny. Stock, low 4's to 60, mid 12's @ 115-116. It would take an amazing driver to get an SS or 1LE low-mid 12's and 115+ Traps.
Anything can happen on the street, but, I'd bet on the M5 taking the win almost every time at a track.

There was a 2011 M5 at the strip last month, I'm not sure what mods it had but it was running mid 11's. There was a stock one too that was running low 12's
