Disconnecting foglights?

I have the red/white color changing AAC halos for the headlights and fogs and I hate that the auto lights still run the yellow foglights during the day. I'm about to get the SMD afterburners and sidemarkers on, and want just the halos on but not the sidemarkers during the day, so would the easiest thing to do be to completely disconnect or remove the yellow foglights? I don't want HIDs or anything but the halos running down there at the moment, so that's the only thing I can see to do.

Well first, if you have the RS package you don't have fog lights. You have DRLs (daytime running lights). Your options are to get a fieldgoal00 harness, the AAC harness and then just install a diode to prevent feedback into the side markers, sjmautoprod makes a harness (personally have no experience with it), and then 2SSRS also makes a harness.

Fieldgoal00 harness is all plug and play and around $100. AAC harness involves t-taps and it runs about $8. Don't know pricing on sjmautoprod harness. If you send a pm to 2SSRS he can explain his harness to you.

I couldn't just disconnect the DRLs from the normal lights? Not too familiar with the wiring up there

Interested in doing this too. Does the camaro have a lamp monitor? If not i'm just gonna remove the bulbs too.

Yes. But you will more than likely get a pop up telling you the bulb is out.

And yes, our cars have a lamp indicator.

This is a GREAT option... My Halos are on all the time and they are the ONLY thing on during the day. Just bought my 2nd harness from them for the ZL1 (my 1st official mod)

However it's too bad they were banned from C5...:(
