Is anyone happy w their auto SS?
Im starting to see a lot of complaints on the L99 not being what everyone thought it was. Just wondering if this is just a few people or is there anyone who is happy maybe even surprised by how much power the car has stock. Seeing sluggish in a lot of posts is scaring me especially the post where a guy says he got smoked by a GT granted I dont think he knew if it was stock or not. I know some people would say just get the stick but its not right if the auto is not in the same class as we were led to believe from the beginning especially if we have to pay more for the inferior car. I just want what I was told would be there, is the auto really within .1 of the stick 0-60 any regular Joe tests. Not trying to rant just scared and its a lot of money (to me anyways)and want to make sure Im making the right choice. Thanks guys I love this site and this car would like some owners opinions and thoughts

I'm happy with it, but the only things I can really compare it to are my 02 Trans Am (A4) and my wife's 08 Yaris. It's definitely faster than both. My only real complaint is that I'm not getting anywhere near the MPG numbers that were advertised.

I'm happy with my IOM 2SS auto! Had it 6 days now. Got 441 miles on her. She had 4 when I picked her up and I have put all 437 miles that's on her since. I've been asked alot to let people drive it. But I tell them all sorry but ain't going to happen! Car drives great! I've not really got to test her yet. I'm making sure she's broke in right! So here in bought 60 more miles I'll probably slowly start getting into her more. But I'm not going to think she be all clear till 1000miles. Haven't been told that. That's just my feelings towards it. So how's all other auto cars doing for everyone out there?

Oh yeah as far as the power I have also drove a Hummer last 3 years. So it feels like I'm hot rodding just cruising cause that big tank wouldn't outrun anything. Only thing I raced in it was am I going to make it to the gas station before I run out of gas!!!!!!

Yeah, the EPA tests for fuel economy in a manner entirely different than the Camaro will actually be driven. No surprise the fuel economy isn't matching window sticker. I would actually judge you if it did.

Most people were expecting it to be as fast or even faster than the LS3 stick at stock in the 0-60 times and slower in the 1/4 mile.. So far it hasn't lived up to those expectations. However I have to point out that I probably would be happy with either an auto or a stick since I'm not somebody who does street or legal track racing..

The Camaro I love, the tuning on the L99 and Tranny I hate. I am hoping to hear back from GM this week with some prgamming changes they will let be made to pep it up and keep the warranty.

I love my automatic. And the tap shifts are fun to play with. And trust me, my A6 is fast.
When the weather cools down a bit (heat index has been 105 degrees - SW Florida) I'll be taking mine to the track. I can gaurantee I'll be able to pull low 13s in my A6. I just traded in an 06 A4 GTO and this car is ever bit as fast or faster. |

Yea I have to say i LOVE my a6. Only complaint is the mpg. The car accelerates unbelivable and i love my paddle shifters!

I ordered the L99, and I too am worried about what I am hearing about the underperformance. My order just got picked up by GM, and I can still change it to a manual....damm. This concerns me.
