journal or ball bearing
Im looking to buy a tc78 for my 383 stroker Camaro. I need to decide if I want to add the ball bearing option or just keep the journal bearings. Is the ball bearing option worth the extra money?

Hard to make that decision for you. It was for me, but I wanted a turbo that spooled quick and lasted a long time. Journal bearing turbos tend to take longer to spool up and need more frequent rebuilding, but ball bearing, billet wheel turbos are twice as much. If it's a budget build, nothing wrong with a journal bearing turbo.

The Bearing MFG option offers better durability and reduced friction, especially under high loads. If you're pushing your Camaro hard, it might be worth the investment for improved performance and longevity.
